Dinners For A Year!

Jon Arend is an avid outdoorsman who participates in many fisheries and hunting activities throughout the year. His primary mode of transportation when fishing many of the southcentral Alaska streams is his drift boat which he enjoys using more than a power boat due to the laid back pace and quietness it offers.

This fall he decided to try a combination drift trip down one of Alaska's smaller streams and do some salmon and trout fishing while scouting and hunting for a moose for the freezer. This was the result of his trip....a fine bull with 3 brow tines that put it in the legal category for the area he was hunting.

Moose are a fine game animal for eating and many Alaskans take advantage of this exceptional source of protein over chemical-fed beef and pork.
