A Visiting Angler Makes the Connection! No one can dispute the Kenai River holds the title to largest king salmon in the world. And many times an angler's catch from this river is the largest fish they have ever caught, even if it isn't the next world record. George Holly recently went out on the river with his visiting brother-in-law Richard for a day of fishing during the beginning of the July run of kings. And within a few drifts through a favorite hole, Richard tied into this chrome-bright 55 pounder to put the icing on the cake...er, trip. Why is George holding Richard's fish? Just try holding up one of these whoppers after a 30 minute battle on rod and reel and you'll welcome the assistance of fellow anglers when the cameras come out! Sometimes you just have enough energy left to muster a SMILE. Photo Courtesy of AOJ sponsor: Holly House Bed & Breakfast
