Tip #21 Sure Fire Patch In A Pinch! [ This great outdoors tip was provided by SSgt. Troy H. Civitillo from Eielson Air Force Base here in Alaska. Its one of those "Why Didn't I Think Of That?" tips that should have a variety of applications when you are a few hundred miles from nowhere with ten days left on your trip.] While I was out hunting last moose season I found out my waders had a hole in them. I had forgotten the save all "shoe goo" which probably would have done the job on fixing this small hole in the foot portion of my wader. First I cleaned the surface around the hole. Then I sliced a 1/4" thick piece of the heel off of the boot and used a lighter to set the small piece of rubber on fire on one end. Using the rubber like a candle I let it drip on the hole in the boot. This saved me from any more wet feet for the rest of the trip. Troy
