FORECAST
- Fishing for silvers and pinks is reported as fair in the Naknek River.
- Silvers and pinks are just starting to show in the Alagnak River.
- A total of approximately 5.5 million Kvichak River sockeye salmon passed the tower at Igiugig through July 22. Angling is reported as fair.
- An estimated 58,000 Nushagak River silver salmon have passed the sonar counter through August 9. Angling is reported as fair.
- Angling for Nushagak pinks is reported to be very good.
- Togiak River silvers are starting to show and angling should improve in the next week. Angling for pinks is reported to be very good.
- Rainbow trout fishing should continue to be fair to good this week as the number of actively spawning salmon increases.
- Naknek and Kvichak drainage grayling, pike, and char angling is reported as fair to good.
- Wood River Lakes system fishing opportunities are fair. Rainbow and char fishing reportedly remains fair.
- Northern pike fishing is reported as fair to good in weedy bays and along lake and slough shores.
- Opportunities for grayling, char, pike, and rainbow trout should remain fair to good throughout the week.
